They help to enhance precision movement and to reduce wear and tear on mechanical components, by limiting friction and axial slide between key moving parts

A bushing, otherwise called a shrubbery, is a free plain bearing that is embedded into a lodging to give an orientation surface to turning applications; this is the most widely recognized type of plain bearing.

Normal plans incorporate strong (sleeve and flanged), split, and held bushings. A sleeve, split, or gripped bushing is just a “sleeve” of material with an inward measurement (ID), external breadth (OD), and length.
